MANAGEMENT
Flurry Powders is building a strong, disciplined team capable of solving your most demanding particle and powder related challenges. We are relentless in our commitment to delivering efficient solutions that create value for our partners.
Andreas Boeckl, Founder and CEO
In his 16 years of engineering experience, Andreas has held various positions in research and development at Nektar Therapeutics (formerly Inhale), Lockheed Martin's Advanced Technology Center, and as an independent consultant to industry. During his 8 years at Nektar, he designed, tested, and implemented novel hardware and processes that dramatically improved collection efficiency (73% yield improved to 91%) of spray dried aerosol particles (1-5 µm), and custom powder filling equipment capable of handling the most challenging powders. At Lockheed, Andreas developed processes for the superplastic forming of near net shaped ceramics and a powdered metal slurry fusion process to establish continuous coatings of refractory metals and metal/carbides on carbon-carbon composites. Andreas holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Materials Science and Engineering, specialization in ceramics, from the University of Florida. In 1998 he co-founded Zigzag Designs which was sold for a profit in 2006. He also collaborates regularly with a number of enterprises in Florida and California. Andreas is highly involved in the local community and a contributing member of Rotary International.
Sanjay Prasad, CTO and interim CFO
In 15 years at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, Sanjay has performed in roles specializing in the research and development of refractory (high temperature) materials and missile systems engineering for current and future missile systems. He has investigated the superplastic properties and forming of refractory oxides and the thermal shock properties and forming of refractory carbides using many of the capabilities available for characterization of raw powders and final components. Sanjay has supported the technical integration of research teams for notional defensive (THAAD) and strategic (FBM) follow-on missile systems. In order to perform these activities, he has engaged in risk management, lean 6-sigma activities, and held a DoD security clearance at the level of SECRET. Sanjay holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University and a Master’s of Science from Stanford University.
